Lucien Beardsley, fresh off his NAIA 5000m title, won the USA 10 km Championship in Hauppauge, NY in a time of 45:02. AJ Gruttadauro (49:51) and John Li (51:50) rounded out the top 3.
Lauren Harris won the women’s title in 51:02 followed by Angelina Colon (53:28) and Julianna Wottawa (1:00:58). All 3 are graduates of the local Sachem School District. Wottawa was the U20 winner, with Sophia Alvarez, also a local from Smithtown HS (1:04:02) taking 2nd in that division.
